As our name suggests (and our old school .net domain name!), we’re grit bin specialists and our founders (Glyn and Richard) have been working in and around the grit bin manufacturing industry for over 15 years.

Following the harsh winters of 2009 and 2010, they launched the website ready for the winter season in 2011, starting off with a small range of grit bins and accessories. Since then they have grown the business considerably over the last 10+ years both in regards to the product range available and the team behind GritBins.net.

We now offer a wide range of winter safety equipment, including an expanded range of grit bins, and other essential equipment such as salt spreaders, rock salt, and snow shovels. In recent years, we have focussed on stocking high-quality UK-made grit bins available from our warehouse in Nottinghamshire. We have sizes suitable for home users right up to commercial size grit bins for storing salt for use in public, high footfall areas.

Our aim is to help our customers get safely through the winter months by supplying great quality winter safety equipment to help combat the worst of the UK’s weather!
